Jump responses are usually weak; sometimes they are used to describe specific features.
Weak jump raises and weak jump shifts are used extensively.
The principle of fast arrival is used. For example, if a game force has been established and
Mau has a minimum hand, he bids game; with more he bids slowly.
The Law of Total Tricks is used to as a guide to ascertain the level to jump to.
A response of 1 NT to a major is forcing for one round and is semi-forcing by
a passed hand.
