Mau - Jump to 2 NT


When opener has jumped to 2NT, showing 17 - 19 points, responder may pass with a very poor hand.
3C is used similar to a Checkback Stayman bid.
The general scheme of rebids after that is to show 3-card support for partner, else bid the other major.
The rebid of 3D shows a minimum hand and allows the responder to sign off below game.
Bids other than 3C carry specific meanings and are forcing to game.
