Precision - Major preempt

Openings of 2 Hearts, 2 Spades, 3 Hearts, 3 Spades, 4 Clubs, 4 Diamonds, 4 Hearts and 4 Spades are covered here.

The openings covered here are made with a long major suit - 6, 7, 8 cards or longer.
Most of the bids have sub-opening points.
The emphasis is on offensive potential or playing strength as opposed to points. The points are merely a broad guideline.
The main idea is to take bidding space out with narrowly defined bids, so that partner can decide to compete or penalize.
A 2 level preempt is opened with a 6 card suit while the other preempts are opened with at least a 7 card suit.
There is also an emphasis on suit quality.

* This bid was devised by Sam Stayman and is called NAMYATS.

Note that there is no overlap among 3H, 4H, 4C bids. They describe progressively better trick taking hands.
There will be some hands which could be opened with 4C or 1H. For example, the last sample in 4C could be opened 1H.
The player will have to decide this based on the opposition, vulnerability, position, etc.
Hands with a long strong heart suit but stronger than Namyats are opened with 1 Club, with a subsequent jump to 4H.

Responses

2H opening:

There are two conventional reponses to a weak 2 opening.
2N: asking for shortage; opener bids shortage, else bids 3H
3C: asking for feature; opener bids the feature, else bids 3H; 3N response shows club feature
A direct raise is weak; all other responses are forcing

3H opening:

A new suit is forcing, asking for support.

4C opening:

4D: transfer to 4H; opener will pass or bid more with a strong hand
4H: to play; may have tenaces to protect
4S: Cue bid looking for slam
4N: RKCB
