There is a range of educational programs offered. Easybridge! - to teach bridge to non-bridge players The Easybridge! program has been offered once or twice a year for the past few years. Plans are to continue this program to attract new players to the game. Novice games - to encourage novices and social bridge players to play duplicate bridge There are two Supervised Novice Games held at the Chapel Hill Senior Center, Mon at 9:30 a.m. and Thu at 1:00 p.m. Duplicate movements and scoring are used, but no points are given. The objective is to transition players from Easybridge! or social bridge to regular duplicate games. There are also many limited games offered at the various clubs. I/N Classes - classes for novice and intermediate players to learn advanced conventions and techniques There are many classes held throughout the year for novices and intermediate players to attain that next level. Advanced Classes - classes for inttermediate and advanced players to learn advanced bidding, declarer play and defense Click here for the list of classes scheduled. There are mentoring programs to help members improve their game by learning new conventions, tools and techniques one on one. The guidelines for the program may be reviewed here. |
